PAINTED TOMBSTONE CHAIR

A collaboration with artist Ty Williams. Williams painted directly onto three hardwood Tombstone chairs adapting his playful artistic style to incorporate figures and patterns dimensionally around each chair.

The Painted Tombstone Chairs are a Limited Edition work designed and produced by Fort Standard’s designer Gregory Buntain. These limited works provide a more focused avenue for exploration allowing a deeper dive into personal interests without the broader constraints of standard furnishings. While maintaining a functional use within the context of the home, these works often push natural materials and processes outside of their normal context and beyond conventional use.
